The graceful, arching leaves form loose mounds that slowly spread by rhizomes. 'Aureola' has variegated leaves of mostly yellow with a few slender stripes of green. In fall, foliage turns an intense pink-red. Provide shade and sufficient moisture in warm, dry climates. Full sun acceptable only in cooler, moist climates. Use singularly or in mass in woodland gardens, shade gardens, borders, or containers.
